information management, data providers and others — together to develop and support
our solutions.

John Sergeant, President and Chief Executive Officer
In the more than 25 years since he founded Sergeant Consulting Associates, John has
worked to create an organizational culture grounded in a passion for the pharmaceutical
industry and a deep commitment to providing personalized service. As President and
CEO, John continues to generate innovative ideas that translate into the efficient
solutions his customers have come to appreciate and expect.
John began his career in the International Market Research Department of Schering
Corporation and later went to Warner-Lambert. Working extensively with computer graphics,
John was the catalyst behind the creation of a microcomputer interface that was the
first to download data from IMS’ MIDAS system.
Building on this concept, John formed Sergeant Consulting Associates to further develop
software and services to meet the needs of pharmaceutical market researchers. Through
Sergeant Consulting, John and his team brought enhancements to customers via the
next generation “Win EI” software and later the web-based EINetAnalyst currently
used in more than 53 countries.
John graduated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge with a degree in Organic Chemistry
and Pharmacology. When he has free time, he enjoys he enjoys hiking with his golden
retriever, gardening, listening to audiobooks and watching the NJ Devils. |

Luis Gil, Chief Technology Officer
In his role as Chief Technology Officer, Luis is responsible for system architecture
and programming. To keep Sergeant ahead of the curve, Luis keeps a keen eye on emerging
and advancing technologies, and instills a creative problem-solving framework into
the applications his team develops. The simple principle driving his work is to
make things as easy as possible for Sergeant’s clients.
Prior to joining Sergeant 11 years ago, Luis worked for Bank of New York, Advantageware,
Universidad de Los Andes, Burroughs (now Unisys) and Mobil, a career path that exposed
him to a wide range of business issues and programming approaches. Since taking the
technical helm at Sergeant, Luis has evolved the WinEI data access and reporting
platform to the next level, developed the next generation Web-enabled EINetAnalyst,
and streamlined our processing systems to allow us to respond quickly and consistently
to client needs.
Luis earned degrees from Polytechnic University of Brooklyn (Masters) and University
of Los Andes (Bachelor’s). When he’s not finding better ways to access and use data,
Luis likes to spend time with his family. |

Anna Sergeant, Vice President, Operational Excellence
As Sergeant’s Vice President of Operational Excellence, Anna’s focus is on meeting
customer needs and exceeding their expectations. Her leadership approach is inspired
by the understanding that at the beginning and the end of every production cycle
is a client who needs their data to be timely, relevant and right.
Anna has over 24 years experience in pharmaceutical market research. Prior to joining
Sergeant Consulting over 11 years ago, Anna worked with the International Market
Research group at Bristol-Myers (before it joined Squibb) working on various projects
from market overviews to product and/or corporate profiles. Primary areas of concentration
were CNS and Cardiovasculars.
Later she joined the Business Intelligence group at Merck & Company and worked
on a project-by-project basis covering many therapy areas. For over 11 years, Anna’s
primary responsibilities included support of Merck’s MTA (EINetAnalyst) system and
secondary data guidance and support to Marketing.
Anna graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Art and Archeology, and
continues to hone her interests in the visual arts through continuing education in
ceramic arts and attending art events and museums. Also, she has a keen interest
in all foods and is an expert baker and cook. |

Vera Adamek, Vice President, Client Development
When Vera joined Sergeant’s executive team in 2009, she brought with her a strong
track record of creating synergies between people, processes and data. In her role
as Vice President of Client Development, Vera is committed to ensuring that every
Sergeant client views us a valued long-term partner and is enthusiastic about their
relationship with us.
Vera’s professional philosophy is “let’s make it happen”; yet her sense of humor
injects a human element to today’s deadline- and bottom line-oriented business environment.
She ensures that the voice of the customer is always audible at Sergeant.
Before joining Sergeant Consulting, Vera spent the bulk of her career at IMS Health.
Her experiences there encompassed a wide range of business functions, including data
supplier management, quality initiatives, client communication programs, and marketing.
She has an in-depth knowledge of the complexity of the data management process, a
keen understanding of how people in the pharmaceutical industry use data, and a personal
commitment to finding creative ways to solve unique problems.
Vera’s alma mater is Arcadia University. She is a member of several pharmaceutical
industry and professional organizations, an active school volunteer, and a life-long
learner. When she finds a couple of spare minutes, Vera enjoys gardening and spending
time with her family in San Diego, Albuquerque and at home in Pennsylvania. |
